Lyn Livingston is a Certified Appraiser of Personal Property (CAPP), with a specialty in antiques and residential contents. The CAPP designation is the highest professional designation conferred by The International Society of Appraisers. The CAPP designation is attained by successful completion of a comprehensive program, emphasizing the legal, ethical and theoretical aspects of appraising as well as the fine points of appraisals of all types of residential contents. Also required are approved appraisal reports, approved professional development activities, and the passing of a comprehensive board examination.
Mrs. Livingston established a personal property appraisal practice in 1992 specializing in the appraisal of residential contents for estate, probate, insurance, divorce, donation, claims, bankruptcy, and other personal property requirements. Livingston's Auction & Estate Services Inc combines essential estate liquidation services through estate sales, auctions and private brokering with appraisal services and consultation for residential contents, decorative arts and accessories antiques, and collectibles.

ISA is the largest association of experienced and professionally educated and tested personal property appraisers in North America. ISA membership includes many of the country's most respected independent appraisers, consultants, and estate liquidators.
ISA members are charged with the responsibility of estimating accurate values of personal property for such functions as buying and selling objects, insurance, coverage and claims, estate and gift taxes, charitable contributions, bankruptcies, family and business dissolutions, liquidations, casualty loss, collateral, and expert witness testimony.
ISA is affiliated with the University of Maryland University College providing academic guidance to the ISA educational program and certifies that the courses meet the University's high academic standards.
