Consignment Auctions Our consignment auctions feature quality items from fine estates and include a variety of antiques, collectibles, specialty items, and fine and decorative arts. Our comfortable gallery and friendly staff will make your auction experience an enjoyable one.

Estate Auctions In addition to our Consignment auctions Livingston’s is pleased to offer full and partial estate auctions. Ideal for the home owner and the collector/dealer featuring better used furniture, linens, appliances, rugs, and decorative art. Plus, from time to time we will have a Clean it Out “Box Lot” Sale to recycle all of those every day but still useful things found in every estate close out.

CONSIGNOR INFORMATION Every consignor wants to know what will it cost and what services are included. Our staff understands that each estate is different with their own special needs. In addition to our free consultation our services may also include packing, moving, identification, valuation, photography, marketing, and placement in the most appropriate market. Our goal is to assist you to obtain the best possible outcome for your consignment.

Consignment Fees

Consignment fees vary between 15 to 35%. Consignment fees are set when the item or estate is consigned. Full and partial estate consignment and service packages are available. Fees are determined by the size of the estate and the services requested by the consignor. Estate consignments are charged a commission based on the combined total. Individual items are assessed as follows;

Reserves A reserve is a confidential minimum price below which the consignor has instructed the auctioneer not to sell the lot.

Bidder Registration Every person bidding in an auction is required to have a bidding number. If you do not have a bidding number the auctioneer will not honor your bid. You may register for a bidding number during the viewing or auction at the Registration Desk

Absentee Bidding When you are unable to attend our Auction in person we offer two convenient ways to participate in the auction through absentee bids and telephone bids. A member of our staff will bid for you on an Absentee bid or will bid at your direction during a telephone bid. To submit an absentee bid or request a telephone bid submit a completed Bidder Registration and Absentee Bidder Form with your secured payment. Forms are available through the Auction Desk and must be completed prior to the auction. A 12% buyers premium is charged on successful absentee, telephone and live eBay bids. We also offer our auction items on Live eBay. Our auctions can be previewed on our website or on Live Auctioneers www.liveauctioneers.com or Live eBay.

Exhibition All items offered for sale are available for viewing as advertised for each auction. We encourage all prospective buyers to personally inspect or have their agent personally inspect each item they wish to bid on before bidding. Every lot is sold “AS IS” at the time it is placed on the auction block. Livingston’s Auction & Gallery nor our consignors do not warranty or guarantee the condition or description of any lot. Items sold are frequently of considerable age and will exhibit normal wear and tear for the item.

Payment Immediate Payment is required before the item is removed. For your convenience payment by Cash, Personal Checks, Visa, Master Card and Discover Card is accepted. Livingston’s has the right to hold all lots until sufficient time for checks to clear the bank when the buyer is not known to us and does not have an accompanying letter of credit from their bank.

Dealers Please remember we will charge sale tax unless we have a current copy of your sales tax exempt certificate in our files. No Exceptions.
